Who it’s for
Administrators, office assistants and receptionists ready to take on more responsibility. Learners need NQF Level 4 with Communication to enrol.
What your staff will be able to do
The qualification gives learners a range of administrative skills to coordinate the activities of an office, including information management and operational processes. Its exit-level outcomes are to:
- manage resources according to good governance policies and procedures
- manage, coordinate and assist in the administration and clerical support of departments, using computerised systems
- assist with selection, induction, employee wellness and the skills development of employees
- process data to complete a Workplace Skills Plan
- assist with the administration of marketing, public relations and advocacy
- communicate effectively to maintain good relationships with internal and external customers
- plan, administer and support special projects
Why enrol before the end of 2026
The SAQA register lists 30 December 2026 as the last date for new enrolments on this qualification. Learners enrolled by then have until 30 December 2029 to complete it. The QCTO may extend this date, and we’ll update this page if it does.
